Exapunks is a cyberpunk programming puzzle game set in the late 1990s. You’re a former hacker turned infected by a mysterious plague. The only way to survive is to trade your skills for medicine, one job at a time.
Each level is a real-world hacking scenario—ATMs, smart appliances, game consoles—where you write assembly-style code for programmable bots called EXAs. These bots move through filesystems, modify data, and even battle other programs.
As you progress, you gain access to hidden knowledge, zines full of lore and tech, and deeper systems to manipulate. There's no single solution—just elegant logic or brute force. The world is connected, and you're its ghost in the machine.
